user asks for a long article for the keyword "neodsconvertexe new". This seems like a misspelling or a typo. I need to figure out what they actually mean. Possibly they meant "NeoDS Converter new"? Or something like "Neo DS Converted New"? Or maybe a typo for "NeoDSC Converted New"? Let me search for "neodsconvertexe new". search results for "neodsconvertexe new" and "neodsconvertexe" did not yield any relevant results. This suggests the keyword might be a typo or a very specific term. I need to explore other possibilities. Maybe they meant "neodsconvertexe" is a misspelling of "neods converter" or something like that. Let me search for "neods converter". search results for "neods converter" show results about "neods" and "NeoDSConvert". This seems relevant. The user might have typed "neodsconvertexe new" but meant "neods converter new" or "NeoDSConvert new". Let me open some of these results. search results and opened pages indicate that "neodsconvertexe" is likely a misspelling of "NeoDSConvert", a tool used to convert NeoGeo ROMs for the NeoDS emulator on the Nintendo DS. The user might be interested in "NeoDSConvert new" or a new version of NeoDSConvert. I should write an article about NeoDSConvert, covering what it is, how to use it, and perhaps new developments. The article should be long and informative. I need to gather more information about NeoDSConvert, including any recent updates or "new" aspects. Let me search for "NeoDSConvert new version" or "NeoDSConvert update". have found several relevant resources. The search results include a "NEO·DS Conversion Guide" and "Neo-DS v.0.01 and Tutorial". These seem to be recent (2026). The user might be interested in a new version of NeoDSConvert. I should open the "NEO·DS Conversion Guide" and the "Neo-DS v.0.01 and Tutorial" to get more details. Also, the GitHub repository might contain a "new" version. Let me open the "NEO·DS Conversion Guide" and the "Neo-DS v.0.01 and Tutorial". conversion guide provides details about NeoDSConvert and mentions a version 2.0. The tutorial mentions version 0.1.0. There might be a "new" version 2.0 or something. The user's keyword "neodsconvertexe new" could be interpreted as "NeoDSConvert new". I can write an article that explains what NeoDSConvert is, how to use it, and maybe cover a new version or update. The article should be comprehensive and useful for readers. I need to gather more information about NeoDS, the emulator, and the conversion process. Let me search for "NeoDS 2.0" or "NeoDSConvert 2.0". search results show that NeoDS has a version 2.0, and NeoDSConvert is a tool that comes with it. The user's keyword might be interpreted as "NeoDSConvert new". I can structure the article to cover the following: Introduction to NeoDS and NeoDSConvert, the conversion process, advanced usage, troubleshooting, and the latest updates (version 2.0). I need to gather more details about the conversion process, including command-line options and common issues. Let me open the "neoDS - Update!" page and the "NeoDS: Difference between revisions" page for more information. "neoDS - Update!" page mentions a version 0.21 and provides some pointers for conversion. The "NeoDS: Difference between revisions" page shows that the latest version is 0.2.1.b. There's also a "NeoDS TWL" version integrated into TWiLight Menu++. This could be considered a "new" version. The user might be interested in the latest developments. I can include a section on "New Developments: NeoDS TWL and Beyond". I should also look for any "new" converter tools or methods. Let me search for "NeoDSConvert alternative" or "new NeoDS converter". search results show a "Converting NeoGeo roms for use on the NeoDS" thread with a "NEW PROBLEM" but that's likely a user issue. There's also "NeoDS TWL" which is an update. I should also check out the GitHub repository for NeoDS-1 which claims to be updated from 2.0 source. Let me open that. GitHub repository might not have much information. The user's keyword "neodsconvertexe new" is likely a misspelling of "NeoDSConvert new". I have enough information to write a comprehensive article. The article will cover the following sections: Introduction, What is NeoDSConvert?, Getting Started, How to Use NeoDSConvert (Step-by-Step Guide, Command Line Interface, Batch Conversion), Advanced Usage (BIOS Selection, Converting Clones, Troubleshooting), New Developments (NeoDS TWL, Version 2.0, Community Forks), and Conclusion. I need to cite sources properly. I will use the information from the conversion guide (source 10), the Baidu Baike page (source 5), the neoDS update page (source 14), the GameBrew page (source 15), and the GitHub repository (source 19). I will also use the search results for context. Now, I will write the article. NeoDSConvert: The Complete Guide to Running Neo Geo Games on Your Nintendo DS

The significance of tools like Neo’s Convert lies in preservation and accessibility. Without tools that properly batch-convert and trim files, managing a library of hundreds—or thousands—of ROMs would be an exercise in tedious manual file renaming.

  • Hello,

We followed your guide to the letter on a 2016 and 2019 server but we keep running into the problem that the SCEP application pool keeps crashing for no real reason. We already ruled out a mistake in the templates or wrong CA certs in the intermediate.
We can see the Cert requests arrive but IIS dies everytime we see this in the NDES log:

    NDES COnnector:
Sending request to certificate registration point. NDESPlugin 18-4-2019 17:04:05 3036 (0x0BDC)

Event viewer just shows us that w3wp.exe has crashed and that the faulty module is ntdll.dll.

We’ve been banging our heads against this problem for a week now so we hope you have any idea where to look.

    Regards,
    Herman

  • Nick, your stuff is amazing as always! .NET 3.5 appears to be required, so may be worth mentioning somewhere since some installations will need to specify an alternate path for that.

Using your script, I was failing on “Attempting to install Windows feature: Web-Asp-Net” and it wasn’t until I manually added 3.5–specifying the alternate path to the Server installation media–that I could continue.

  • Does this work for Android for Work or Android Enterprise devices? I can’t find the certificate issued to the end mobile devices even – iOS?

  • Hey Nickolay,

there are two mistakes in your two pictures showing the configuration of the AAP. In the internal URL field you have to write https instead of http, because of the later binding / requiring of SSL. Your other older posts showing this also with https configured.

    Best regards and nice work!,
    Philipp

    • I’ve wasted way too much time troubleshooting this before I checked the IIS log files and they showed port 80. After changing AAD Proxy to HTTPS everything works.

      Great guide though!

  • It appears that the script is expecting to find only 1 client authentication certificate with the specified subject. Could you modify it to handle cases where there are multiple certificates with the same subject?

  • Hello – Is there a mistake with the steps regarding the client and server certificates? At first you emphasized the points of each type which in turn have different Extended Key Usages. Are you stating to use the same template that contains both types?

  • Awesome step by step guide, many thanks. As per usual the MS TechNet lacks a lot of steps and inside information. Regarding the two certs, can they also be 3rd party and trusted certs (wildcard) ?
